Icon Athletics is located at 2880 15th Avenue S.W., Huntsville, AL. We offer All Star Competitive cheer programs (full year and half year), tumbling classes, day camps, private lessons and more. Whether you are a beginner or a highly experienced tumbler, we have a program that will fit your needs.

No matter the size of the program, Icon Athletics always feels like “home” to so many of our staff, athletes and their families. Our focus has and will always be, the personal progression of each athlete.

Our Team

Tina Jones, director and owner of Icon Athletics, has coached school cheer for 30 years and All Star cheer for 15 years. Through her career she has coached her teams to win numerous national and grand champion titles including State, Regionals, D2 Summit, CheerSport, NCA, JamFest, OneUp, U.S. Finals and Cheer Derby to name a few.

In the 2019 season Tina was voted Coach of the Year from Cheer Derby's Grand Nationals in Kentucky and coached her team to win the $10K big cash prize! She is currently working with numerous school cheer teams in north Alabama to grow their skills and help them be successful. Most of all Tina prides herself on being second mom to many kids.

Tina Jones

Tia Lang

Coach Tia began cheering when she was in the 3rd grade and cheered for Lamar County High School where she was captain her junior and senior years. During her time in high school, Tia coached rec cheer for 3 years. She went on to cheer at the University of West Alabama and served as captain her senior year.

Tia has worked for the Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) staff for 6 years, teaching cheerleading all over the midsouth and some of the northeast. In the 2020 season, Tia was voted Coach of the Year from Cheer Derby's Grand Nationals in Kentucky!

Hunter Jones

Coach Hunter competed trampoline and tumbling before competing all star cheer for 6 years. He has been coaching tumbling and cheer for 6 years. He is a D2 Summit champion and has won many other national titles.

Hunter works with many local school cheer teams on stunting technique and tumbling and is available for private lessons.

Hannah Jones

Hannah has been an All Star cheerleader for 14 years and is a 4x D2 Summit Champion. She is a cheerleader at Huntsville High where her team won the State Championship for the 2019-2020 season.

Hannah has coached and/or assisted many All Star and school teams including a winning youth All Star team for 2 years. Hannah's impressive talent as an athlete and coach has led her to many national titles and awards.

Melanie Kelley

Coach Melanie has been cheering, dancing and tumbling since she was a little girl! Her cheerleading and coaching experience began in Chandler-Gilbert, AZ where she was an All Star and school cheerleader for 5 years. She coached All Star and high school cheer for 2 years. After being captain of the Perry High School cheer team her junior and senior year, Melanie was hired as the Head JV coach and Assistant Competition coach for PHS Cheer.

Melanie moved to Alabama to transfer to UAH and has since coached All Star cheer and tumbling in the Huntsville community and was Head coach of the Grissom High School cheer team for 2 years. Melanie has two little girls, Leighton and Livia who are closely following in their mom's footsteps.

Sarah Huskey

Sarah has been a cheerleader since age 5 as a Little Panther. Her love for cheer has led her to cheer for Huntsville Junior High and Huntsville High School where she was captain.

Sarah is a 2x UCA All American, member of the UCA staff and 3x D2 Summit Champion. She has coached and/or assisted many All Star teams, including Tinies and special needs. Icon Athletics is is proud to have Sarah Huskey as a member of our staff.
